Busy Bees Job Vacancy

Busy Bees Pre School are looking for a Part-time administrator (18 hours per month) working mainly from home.

Apply in writing to:

Rev P Wagstaff, C/o The Methodist Church,  Crewkerne TA18 8DB.

Organ music

If you happen to be on the premises during the week and hear occasional organ music , don't be surprised. With the full consent of Philip, Nova, Richard and the church stewards, permission has been given to Tony Berridge to practice on our organ. He is an accomplished pianist who wishes to add organ playing to his skills.

Many thanks, Pam

Christian Aid Week

There will be no door-to-door collections this year. Instead, our coffee morning on Sunday the 13th will be for Christian Aid, adding to the town collection.

Your generous support for these two events would be much appreciated.

Sid Hodge, Treasurer

United Worship Services

There will be a united service on Ascension Sunday (13th) 6.00pm at the Community Church. This service is virtually replacing the united service for the end of 'Week of Prayer for Christian Unity'. One of the few opportunities to worship together, so try to join in.

The Very Rev Bob Key will be preaching on the ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ theme.

This is the Archbishops’ prayer initiative that our families, friends, communities and countries should come to know Christ as Saviour and Lord.

The month that has passed has been a sad one for our Church.

Both Richard Heal and Mary Studley have lost those they loved. Our own family has been bereaved also. In all the sadness, arrangements have to be made and friends and family contacted. We pray that God will ease this burden for each.

We celebrated the resurrection of Jesus at Easter and, however we understand it, this is a message of reassurance at the centre of our faith that we shall see each other again.

Contemporary  worship service

A worship service featuring modern songs and music is taking place on the last Sunday of each month. Time: from 6.00pm to about 7.00pm, Venue: either North St. Baptist Church or St. Bart's. Check with John Stuffins Tel. 74336

Our minister, Philip Wagstaff, is wanting to meet ,on an informal basis, anyone who might be considering becoming a member of The Methodist Church . Perhaps that's 'where you are ' . You've wondered what 'membership' is all about , but didn't know how to take the idea any further . Philip is planning a 'Conversational' opportunity as a starting point .
